The Staicele round of the LIFE IS SALACA photo orienteering game “Treasures of the Salaca valley” has ended

The photo orienteering game in the “Salacas ieleja” (Salaca Valley) Nature Park organised by LIFE IS SALACA has ended, with 22 teams taking part in the Staicele round. Participants got to know Latvia’s natural and cultural values. The winners will soon receive their prizes, but the activity is still available to anyone interested. The next round of the game is expected in 2027 in Salacgrīva.

We are pleased to announce that the photo orienteering game in the “Salacas ieleja” Nature Park organised by LIFE IS SALACA has ended successfully! This autumn the activity took place in Staicele, bringing together a total of 22 teams. The participants set off on an educational adventure, discovering Latvia’s natural and cultural values.

We thank all the participants for their enthusiasm, perseverance and attentiveness in searching for the checkpoints and the matching pictures! The correct answers of the game can be found next to the pictures.

After the results were counted, the 18 teams that scored the maximum number of points took part in the prize draw. Congratulations to the lucky winners: Olivers & Co, Blēži, LR kvadrātā, Trīņi and Bobam patīk baloži! The project team will be in touch with the winners within the next two weeks to arrange the collection of prizes.

For those who did not manage to take part – you have not missed out! The photo orienteering game is still available both at lifeissalaca.silava.lv and as a printout at the Staicele Tourist Information Centre. The Mazsalaca photo orienteering game is also still available. Although it is no longer possible to take part in the prize draw, adventure and a good mood are guaranteed. We invite you to take this opportunity and enjoy the golden autumn in the “Salacas ieleja” Nature Park!

The next round of the photo orienteering game is planned for 2027 in Salacgrīva. Follow the news on the project website and get ready for a new nature and culture adventure!
