On 6 April from 06:30 to 18:00, the association “Fishing Club “SALACKRASTI”” is organising the annual salmon and sea trout competition “Salaca Salmon Cup 2024”. During the competition you will also be able to learn about the LIFE IS SALACA project.
As usual, the competition will take place on the section of the Salaca River within the administrative territory of Limbaži Municipality (the “Salaca I” section). The competition will find the most skilful and successful salmon and sea trout spin-fishing champion. Participants must follow the catch, photograph and release principle.
The aim of the competition is to promote an environmentally friendly, well-conceived and well-organised sea trout and salmon fishing competition, and to promote and develop the idea of the sustainable use of these fish species in the Salaca River, in the administrative territory of the Salacgrīva unit and in Latvia.
More information about the event is available on the website of the association “Fishing Club “SALACKRASTI”” (in Latvian)
